TWSC’s Smart Manufacturing Base Successfully Achieves Level 3 CMMM Certification

source:德明利 2024-08-08

In early 2024, TWSC initiated comprehensive preparations for evaluation, aligning with the standards of the Level 3 model outlined in the "Smart Manufacturing Capability Maturity Model" (CMMM). This assessment covered various sub-domains, including organizational strategy, personnel skills, data management, integration, information security, equipment, networking, procurement, scheduling, production operations, equipment management, environmental safety, warehousing, distribution, and energy management. The evaluation also involved deep exploration of intelligent applications across R&D, production, management, and services. This certification is not only a recognition of TWSC's capabilities in smart manufacturing but also an acknowledgment of its achievements in promoting industrial upgrades and digital transformation.

TWSC’s Smart Manufacturing Base: A Fully Integrated Digital Operational System

  • Integration of R&D and Manufacturing Practices:

The base integrates R&D, design, and validation, building a highly flexible and adaptable production equipment matrix, with over 30% of the equipment developed in-house. The base houses dozens of industry-leading fully automated SMT production lines and automated testing lines, including high-reliability and high-performance equipment such as vacuum reflow soldering, 3D X-ray inspection, and digital fluorescent oscilloscopes. In combination with TWSC’s proprietary domestic EDA tools, it ensures efficient hardware-software collaboration. The base is also equipped with specialized laboratories for performance testing, failure analysis, materials testing, reliability, electromagnetic compatibility, safety, and simulation, providing continuous technical support and driving innovation in production processes.

  • End-to-End Data Traceability and Visualization Management:

The base integrates IoT technologies with its automated production lines, including a Smart Manufacturing MES system and ERP system. The MES system’s precise scheduling and resource optimization functions have led to comprehensive smart upgrades in production processes, enabling real-time data collection and storage. This ensures 100% traceability and data analysis across the entire production process, continuously improving efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.

  • Lean Manufacturing for Quality Delivery:

TWSC upholds a development philosophy of professionalism, scale, high quality, and efficiency. It continues to upgrade production testing equipment, implements standardized manufacturing processes, and establishes an automated quality control traceability system from raw materials to finished products. By optimizing the entire life cycle of the production line, TWSC ensures first-class equipment, processes, and management, boosting manufacturing capacity, delivery efficiency, product performance, and quality in its storage solutions.

Looking Ahead: AI and Data Models Driving Smart Manufacturing

As smart manufacturing evolves toward large-scale applications of AI and data models, TWSC plans to use this certification as a foundation to upgrade its multi-domain system integration architecture. The company will accelerate its digital transformation, leverage its strengths in independent innovation, and enhance its smart manufacturing capabilities. TWSC aims to expand its high-end storage product portfolio, advancing towards a high-end, green, and intelligent transformation.
